Elegy in a church yard again

There is a famous poem called if my memory serves me well
“Elegy in a Church Yard” written by Grey in Stoke Poges church
yard, the picture is of that place. The first verse goes something like this:-

The church bell tolls the knell of parting day,
A line of cows winds slowly o’re the lea,
The plowman plods his weary way,
And leaves the world to darkness and to me.

It was brought up to date in Punch magazine:-
The church bell tolls the knell of parting day,
A line of cars winds slowly of the lea,
Pedestrians plod their weary way.
And leave this world quite unexpectedly.

How things change!!
